From time to time, Gaeltacht Minnesota teaches courses through St. Paul Community Education. Visit the St. Paul Community Ed web site for registration forms, and additional information on Community Education programs.
Our thanks to Mary and Shari for teaching our first "Irish for Tourists" class, to Siobhan and Daithi for pitching in, and, of course, to the students who enrolled.
We will be offering our four-week "Introduction to Irish Gaelic" through St. Paul Community Education this winter term. Completing this class allows you to continue with our regular Monday evening sessions for as long as you wish.
NOTE that registration is through Community Ed, not us, and that online registration will open Monday, December 26. Registration can close very quickly, so make sure you are ready to pounce! Visit their site to navigate your way to the "Languages/Communications" courses.
The actual classes will run Mondays January 23-February 13, 7-9 pm, at Central High, fee $35. Here's the description from the catalog:
This course will cover basic everyday conversation and useful phrases, along with insights into how the language works. Students who complete this course will have the option of continuing with Monday night Irish lessons for free, in the regular program taught by Gaeltacht Minnesota for more than 20 years.
St. Paul Community Education maintains a web site where you can download the catalog (or just a section of it), and registration forms. You can also register for courses directly on-line, as well, and that is usually your best option..
Our classes are offered through Como Park office of Community Ed, and taught at Central High School in St. Paul. Call Como Park Community Education at 651-293-8811 for more information about registration and other Community Education programs.
